Anthem Silver Direct Plan Review

My wife was employed by Kroger, and I was on her policy until she could no longer work. She was accepted for SSI, and I am retired and collect social security. Since her work insurance was through Anthem, and worked fairly well, we chose Anthem Silver Direct Plan at the Healthcare Marketplace. That was a VERY,VERY BAD DICISION!

Now we have had nothing but trouble with everything from billing to providers. We are told that the doctor my wife has had for over twenty years is “out of network”,and our hometown hospital, St. Vincent, that should be in Anthems network, and always was is not in their network. Communication with this insurance company is next to imposable. You can call them for answers to your questions if you have time to be on hold for a hour or more for a five minute question. You can e-mail them right on their web-site, but either way you will probably not get the information you need. The employees, and reps. are very polite, but who cares if they cant really help you.
