Review of my own Blue Cross Blue Shield Policy

Review of my own health insurance policy

I love my job as an emotional support teacher in a public school. I live in the Poconos in Pennsylvania. While I know I am not going to get rich as I teacher I have a great benefits package including health insurance. I am insured by Blue/Cross Blue Shield. This is under a HMO plan.I am cover under the policy along with my husband and son. I only pay one point four percent of my salary for the entire family. This is less then what I would pay in one month if I purchased health insurance of my own. I only pay around five hundred dollars a year for my insurance plan.

Blue Cross Blue Shield Arizona Health Insurance Review

I am a healthy 28 year old male and I currently have my health insurance in Arizona through Blue Cross/Blue Shield. As a teacher I have several insurance coverage options from Blue Cross/Blue Shield. I ultimately choose to pay a little more for the PPN plan because I don't need a referral from my primary doctor in order to see a specialist.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield NC Health Insurance Review

Health insurance is important to any family member because the cost of medical care is very expensive. I work for a nursing and rehabilitation center Wilmington North Carolina. This company has several employees so they offer a compensation of partial payment of the policy. The company that carries my policy is Blue Cross and Blue Shield. I chose to cover my two daughters and myself. It is a good policy except it is still costly. This policy cost me 400 per month with the company paying the other 400 each month. I have great coverage on initial doctor visits and prescriptions. A regular doctor visit will cost me $25 and prescriptions cost $10-45 dollars. The prescription cost depends on if it is generic or not.

Individual Health Insurance Review - BCBS

My family and I are covered with an HMO plan by Blue Cross in the state of Missouri. While I am very glad that I have health benefits, sometimes I get very annoyed by the coverage this affords me. As with most HMO's, I chose a primary care physician from a list in the book they provided me with when I signed up. While this book states very clearly that you should always call to find out if the physician that interests you still accepts your coverage, I would also recommend that you call your own doctor to see if he accepts your insurance if he or she is not listed in the book. While those listings are up to date, they are printed and every update is not necessarily covered in the edition you received.

My Personal Health Insurance Review - BCBS

My personal Health insurance review starts with the statement that I do not presently have health insurance because I have not found one that I can afford on my income. But I did at one time have health insurance when I worked for 14 years with a company. I have a feeling this story is not uncommon as so many people used to have great coverage through work.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Virginia Health Insurance Review

Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Insurance of Virginia is one of the most prevalent insurance policies to have in the region in which we live. The premiums are reasonable through my employer and this plan covers my entire family of 5. Since this policy is a PPO plan there is the freedom to select those doctors that my family has always frequented at a slightly higher co-pay then we must pay when we visit those doctors that are within the PPO.

How my BCBS Virginia health insurance policy works

My health insurance covers us under Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Virginia and I am a dependent under my father’s policy. His company carries this policy as a group policy but my father has to pay for the insurance part on my siblings and myself. I believe they are in a 50/50 situation. This is a family insurance policy that he is carrying for us. The insurance policy is a PPO policy with a deductible that I pay each time I visit the doctor or hospital. My prescriptions are covered but I do have a copay portion that I have to pay for each prescription I receive. My prescription copay pays all but ten dollars on my medication if I purchase the generic version. For medications that there is not a generic available, I have to pay up to 45 dollars. The hospital deductible on our policy is 2000 dollars per year. After this, we have an 80/20 where we pay the 20% and the insurance pays the 80%.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of TN Health Insurance Review

When my husband and I planned for an early retirement we were both in our 50's. Not only were we retiring, but we were moving to Nashville, TN. Since we resigned from our jobs, we knew we would have to buy health insurance and dental insurance in Tennessee. We purchased a PPO family plan, for just my husband and me, through Blue Cross Blue Shield TN. We paid for the family plan ourselves, initially, the cost was a little less than $400 a month for both of us. Our co-pay was very reasonable at $25 each per office visit. Over the next several years our premiums went up each time one of us reached a certain age level. By the time my husband was 65 and able to get Mutual of Omaha Medicare; our monthly premiums were almost $800 a month.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia Review

In these days where you have to pick and choose which bills to pay there are things you think may be a luxury that you can let go, in order to survive. Health insurance is not a luxury, it is a necessity to our family. We are so fortunate to be offered health insurance through my husbands employer, which is 100% paid for by the company. If we were to pay for it, it would cost us right at $1000 a month for a family of three.

BlueCross BlueShield of Arizona Review

I realize having health insurance is one of the most important things that a person can have. Health insurance provides me protection and the ability to cover medical expenses. Without health insurance I would be liable for all my medical expenses and I could go bankrupt. So it has always been very important that I have health insurance at all times. My Blue Cross Blue Shield Arizona health insurance usually covers a certain percentage of my medical expenses but it can sometimes cover all your medical expenses depending if I met my deductible or not. There are many companies that I have had health insurance with. These carriers include Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Cigna, Cobra, UnitedHealthOne and Aetna just to name a few. They all offer comprehensive coverage but their prices did vary. My current premium is $185 per month. In Arizona, health insurance prices go up every couple years so it's best to shop around for the best quote (I used to be with Cigna).

BCBS Texas Health Insurance Overview

Searching for family health insurance can be a nightmare! Luckily, my employer offers health insurance to its employees. I work for a company that offers insurance coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBS TX). My co-pays are $25 for regular doctor visits and $35 to see a specialist. The plan I am under is a PPO plan. That means I can self-referral to any doctor that is in the BCBS network. You may be asking, what is the benefit of that exactly? I don't have to see my regular doctor to be referred to a specialist. Hence, I only one co-pay! I have a $1000 deductible then my plan will pay 80%. Once I reach $2000 out of pocket maximum, my plan pays 100% (except co-pays). I have prescription benefits included which runs $25/$45/$60 for the different generic and name brand tiers. Dental and vision is covered through a different employer sponsored company.
